DLAR is run by Viel Gluck s. r. o., company ID (ICO) 56779585, registered in Slovakia ("we"). We treat your data the way we treat everything else here: carefully, and with as little of it as possible. Questions, any time: discernlikearebel@proton.me.

What we collect, and why

The List. When you join The List, we ask for your email address and your answers to a few short questions. We use them to reply to you and to send you what you signed up for. Legal basis: your consent. You can leave at any time by writing to us, and we will delete your details.

The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form delivery service; our inbox is hosted by Proton (Switzerland). Neither uses your data for anything else.

Member accounts. If you create an account, we store your email address and the products you save. That is the whole profile. We use it to sign you in, via a link sent to your email, and to keep your saved picks in one place. Legal basis: providing the service you asked for. Delete your account and everything goes with it.

Email. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to help you.

Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records basic technical logs (IP address, time, page requested) to keep the site secure and running. They are kept briefly and deleted automatically. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website.

We never sell your data. We never share it with anyone beyond the services named above, and they act only on our instructions.

Cookies and browser storage

We use no advertising cookies. None. The only measurement on this site is a visitor count you switch on yourself: Google Analytics, with advertising features turned off, loaded only if you turn on Analytics in Cookie settings. Leave it off, which is how it arrives, and nothing is loaded and no such cookie is set.

The site stores a few small things in your own browser, purely so it works properly:

• your language choice (English or Slovak)
• whether you have already seen the opening animation, so it plays only once
• if you are a member: your sign-in session and your saved picks

These stay on your device, tell us nothing about you, and are shared with no one. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics, only if you ask for it

If, and only if, you switch Analytics on in Cookie settings, we load Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Advertising features and ad personalisation are disabled, and your IP address is shortened. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at the same switch. This sends data to Google Ireland Limited, and may involve transfer outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Leave the switch off, as it arrives, and none of this happens.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us, at any time, to: show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, hand you a copy of it, or stop using it. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it whenever you wish. Write to discernlikearebel@proton.me and it will be handled promptly.

If you believe your data has not been treated properly, you may complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk).

Changes

If the site changes what it does with data, this page changes with it, and the date above moves.
